WAYS TO REPURPOSE TRASH & RECYCLING
Make: New Paper
Using: Paper, Junk Mail, Cardboard, Leaves, Dryer Lint, Napkins
Method: 1) Soak everything for an hour
2) Blend with water to make a pulp
3) Use an old t-shirt or chicken wire to make a screen
4) Spread pulp on screen & pat down with a towel to squeeze out the water
5) Flip screen over onto a dry towel and peel off the paper.
6) Put another towel on top and weights on top of that (books)
7) After a day off pressing, remove paper from towels and let dry on the counter
Make: Durable Plastic Material
Using: Old plastic grocery bags, Food Packaging Plastic
Method: 1) Set your iron to its hottest setting
2) Place parchment paper on your working surface
3) Place layers of plastic flat on the paper
4) Cover with another sheet of parchment paper
5) Iron! Keep the iron moving and make sure to get the edges
6) Flip and iron the other side
7) Around 8 plys makes a strong material, more could make something solid!
